Finding Our Way Back Outside

Nature Girl Rewild is about helping women reconnect with nature in a way that feels real, approachable, and sustainable. It’s for women who love being outside—or want to—but sometimes struggle to make it a priority in everyday life.

So many of us crave fresh air, movement, and time in nature, yet feel like we’re always fitting it in around everything else. Nature Girl Rewild exists to remind us that those moments matter. That stepping outside—whether it’s for a short walk, a cold plunge, a trail ride, or a quiet moment in the sun—can ground us, energize us, and bring us back to ourselves.

This isn’t about extreme adventures or living an “outdoor lifestyle.” It’s about reconnecting in the ways that make sense for your life, your schedule, and your surroundings. It’s about finding joy outside, building consistency, and discovering community along the way.

How Nature Girl Rewild began…

Hi! I’m Kierstin

I’ve always loved being outside—but growing up, living out in the country, it was often difficult to find other people to join me on adventures, especially other girls.

I was the only girl my age in my community that I knew of with a mountain bike. So, I spent a lot of time riding alone or joining groups of guys because that’s who was going and had bikes, but I always wished I could have a group of girls to go with. As I grew up and eventually found more opportunities to connect with other women to do the outdoor activities that I loved, it completely changed the experience. Being outside felt more connected, more encouraging, and more fun.

That shift stayed with me. Even now, I see so many women who want to spend more time outdoors but aren’t sure where they fit—or who they’ll go with. We’re often all out there in our own way, just looking for a little encouragement and connection.

I’m not a professional athlete or full-time adventurer. I’m not sponsored by The North Face, REI, or Cotopaxi (though y’all feel free to call me anytime!).

I have a day job, a husband, kids, and a busy, sometimes chaotic schedule. I don’t live in a place overflowing with outdoor opportunities, and I don’t have unlimited time or resources. What I do have is a deep appreciation for the small moments outside that make life feel more balanced—salty air, green leaves, ocean waves, mountain views, and even snow, if I can find it.

Nature Girl Rewild grew from that place: finding simple, meaningful ways to get outside more often, even when life is full. It’s an invitation to slow down, breathe deeper, and remember how good it feels to step outside—together.

If you’ve ever wanted to spend more time outdoors but needed a little nudge, a little structure, or a little community, you’re in the right place.
